Person I would have sent it to: Megan B.
We all called her Buttons, and I don’t know why.
She was the Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor on Priscilla Queen of the Desert. The other Meghan- the Wardrobe Supervisor- brought her on. I feel like they used to always work as a team together. And they worked quite well together. I’m glad the two of them were brought on board.
Their two personalities worked well off each other.
I had about a month to work on Priscilla Queen of the Desert in New York before we packed it all up and shipped everything to Toronto. Then, I stayed in Toronto for 6 weeks (while my parents baby sat my dog) for six weeks, as we fit everything that was arriving from different areas of the world- London, New York, all over Canada, and Australia. It was a lot of work– fun work, but also weird work- that was compounded by working with a lot of fun personalities. But we made it all work. And we worked hard on it. Yeah, it was hard work.
Team Meghan and Megan were great at taking what they were being given and managing it in the best way possible. They worked hard. They did their job well. They lead well.
I’m struck by the amount of hard work and ambition (maybe it was drive, maybe it was something else), but there was so much of it out east.
Music I listened to while sewing: I’m just letting Spotify shuffle itself along this morning. The Black Eyed Peas just came on.
Whatever happened to The Black Eyed Peas?
Thoughts/Feelings behind the block: My dog is snoring beside me at work. I’ve got Spotify chugging along. The shop is working on a few projects that we have going on right now.
But I’m a little nervous this morning.
Gruesome analogy, sure, but I feel like there’s an artery that’s been cut somewhere here and someone dressed it incorrectly.
