You’d never know the fabric I used for the Crane is a print of bricks with “I heart NY” graffiti all over it. That’s some skilled cutting… right?

Person I would have sent it to: Mr. Rogers.
No, not Mr. Rogers of PBS fame, but my third grade teacher in elementary school.
Infamous for his pretend use of corporal punishment to keep his students in line, he was, in hindsight, just a little irreverent. And cool; in a school full of women teachers, how nice was it to have a male authority figure in your daily life?
As someone whose father was pretty busy working as a doctor most of the day, it was probably good to have another presence (male) like that in my life.
Music I listened to while sewing: On our morning dog walk, I realized I needed to listen to Sondheim’s Into The Woods; I caught myself singing “No One is Alone” while The Dog was doing his business as we patrolled the neighborhood.
Found a playlist on Spotify that actually had some of the show’s dialogue along with the songs included on the cast recording. Epic win.
Thoughts/Feelings behind the block: I maintain the belief that we fight epic civil wars within ourselves at night.
Why is it that Nighttime is the time to over-think all the things that have happened during the day, the things that will happen tomorrow, and the things that simply might be?
What is it about lying in a bed in the dark that gets your mind activated?
Today is a day for coffee.
